Mini price retention one of best in used car market

Car manufacturer Mini has received an award which highlights its place as one of the most sought after brands in motoring in the UK.

It has been voted Motor Trader's Car Franchise of the Year at the annual Motor Trader awards, an accolade given each year to a manufacturer which has stood out for producing high-quality vehicles and seen a high level of sales success.

Curtis Hutchinson, editor of Motor Trader, noted: "The brand's extraordinary success since it launched in 2001 has seen it become a valued and admired franchise throughout the motor trade."

The company is launching its new model the 211 hp Mini John Cooper Works at the end of this month (July 22nd) and it will have a recommended retail price of £20,995.

Mini creates a range of Mini Cooper models including the standard hatch-back model as well as its convertible and Clubman ranges.

The company has been producing cars since the 1950s.
